 General Theory of Relativity 

About after 10 years of Special Theory of Relativity Einstein gave the General Theory of Relativity to understand the effect of time on gravity. Newton believed that the earth and other planets revolve around the sun due to gravitational force between them but Einstein in his theory proved him wrong by saying that the earth does not revolve around the sun due to gravity it is due to the change in the curve(bent) of the space and time by the gravity so the object which has greater mass causes more broad and deep curve in the space and has more gravity just like sun.

He discovered that when a person is put inside in a lift in space is given an acceleration of 9.8m/s². He feels the same weight as the lift is present at the earth. So he concluded that the acceleration and gravity are the same thing.

He also proved in his experiment that the light coming from the star gets bent by the cure in the space and we observe stars at the apparent position which is different from there initial position. Einstein was the scientists who gave the competition to the old concepts of science and proved them wrong in his theories.
